Obituary for Dennis Edwin Skorupski

Dennis Edwin Skorupski, longtime resident of Warren, died peacefully in his home on April 29, 2022. He was 82 years old.

Dennis was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 17, 1939, son of Frank and Genevieve (Sokolowski) Skorupski. He served our country honorably in the U.S. National Guard. Dennis was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Susanne G. Poirier, on November 3, 1967, at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple first resided in Hamtramck, until making their home in Warren in 1973. Dennis worked 35 dedicated years for J. L. Hudson Company in the furniture department. He loved woodworking and looked forward to his next visit to the casino. Dennis especially enjoyed traveling with his wife. He will always be known for his fun, loving personality, always having a joke to tell. Dennis will be deeply missed, and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Dennis was the devoted and cherished husband of Sue; dear brother of the late Delores (the late Leonard) Kozlowski, the late Gerald (survived by Betty) Skorupski, Norbert (Betty) Skorupski, the late Conrad (survived by Rosemarie) Skorupski, the late Carol Kosnik; dear step-brother of the late Carole (the late Ron) Polus, Don (Marilyn) Plungis; dearest brother-in-law of the late Rita (survived by Leonard) Wilk, Dorothee (the late Larry) Boczar, Lucy (Bob) Hengstebeck; and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
